Tracey Weiler Runs Away From Tim Hudak

Is that a rooster crowing I hear? Yesterday Tracey Weiler, the “Progressive” Conservative candidate in Kitchener-Waterloo ran as far as she possibly could away from Tea-Party Tim Hudak.

First in an interview with CTV Kitchener:

Then during the Waterloo Record Debate:

It is understandable that Ms. Weiler would run away from Tea-Party* Tim.

When they were in government, Tim Hudak’s PCs closed down 500 public schools. Tim Hudak’s Progressive-Conservatives cut $2 Billion out of our public schools and fired 15,000 teachers. Tim Hudak was parliamentary secretary to Minister of Health. His government shut down 28 hospitals and fired 6000 nurses. The Mike Harris/Ernie Eves/Tim Hudak Progressive Conservatives left the Liberals with a $5.6 billion deficit, and lied about it. Dalton McGuinty’s government had 3 years of balanced budgets before the 2008 global economic downturn. Today, Tim Hudak, Tracey Weiler and the PCs oppose the Southwestern Ontario Development Fund that will help create jobs in Kitchener-Waterloo. During the 2011 election the PC candidate from my riding of Whitby-Oshawa did the exact same thing. She didn’t mention Tim Hudak once in any of the debates she attended. Elizabeth Witmer was a moderate, progressive-conservative. Tim Hudak is not.

* Tim Hudak’s whitepapers are called “Paths to Prosperity.” Interestingly enough the infamous Paul Ryan budget was called the “Path to Prosperity.”

  1. I think you do the rest of this article a disservice by mentioning the “Path to Prosperity” thing at the end. That’s a giant leap.

    • I didn’t say that Mr. Hudak took his regressive set of whitepapers from the Republican Party in the US. I just mentioned that since online Hudak’s nickname is “Tea-Party Tim,” it’s funny that his whitepapers share the name with a Tea-Party budget.
